Abstract

The Digital Library of Latvia (DLL) brings together content of over 3.8 million digital objects from over 500 partner collections from Latvia and around the world. The Digital library of Latvia is a valuable resource for researchers, educators, and others interested. It offers a wide range of services to its partners, including access to its digital collections, opportunities for collaboration, training and support.

Content synergy is the process of combining the content from multiple sources to create new and valuable resources. This can be done by linking together related materials, providing cross-references, or creating new metadata. The DLL is using content synergy to provide new knowledge and insights to its users.

The DLL is working with more than 500 partners to provide new knowledge to its users. For example, the DLL is working with the National Archives of Latvia make available historical documents. The DLL is also working with National and regional level museums from all over Latvia to provide access to digital collections of art, artifacts, and historical objects.

In session we will discuss how the DLL is using content synergy to provide new knowledge with partners content. The session will also explore the benefits of content synergy and how it can be used to create new and innovative services for libraries and other organizations.

This session is geared towards librarians, archivists, museum professionals, and anyone interested in the use of digital libraries and the creation of new knowledge.
